This course is for parents/carers who have a child who attends Donnington Wood Junior School.
This course is intended as a first step for people who want to work with children. It is also valuable in helping parents support their own children to learn.
ASIST is a 2 day workshop taking place on 7th & 8th June 2022 that teaches people how to support someone who is experiencing thoughts of suicide. The workshop deals with this subject in an appropriate way and will empower people to be confident and comfortable talking about suicide, asking people clearly and directly about suicide, and how to structure an intervention to help keep a person safe.
The workshop is internationally renowned and people who have completed it have saved many lives from suicide.
You must be able to attend on both days and for the whole time from 8.30am to 5pm.
This course will provide you to have a greater understanding of what is meant by Dyslexia, how it is diagnosed, address barriers and how to support individuals with Dyslexia.
By successfully completing this course you will achieve an Level 2 Award in Dyslexia Awareness (OCNWM)

This course offers a fun and practical way to learn more about the variety of foods we eat, how it can affect your moods and the way you feel, and an opportunity to experience tasting foods in an informal and friendly environment with an experienced cooking tutor.
