Course overview

The course is intended for people who do not already have a qualification in maths and wish to gain a qualification in maths functional skills.

Session details

You must attend the information and assesment session to enrol on this course. At the information session, you will be asked to do a short assessment of your English and maths skills to check that the course is suitable for you.

Eligibility criteria

Learners must be aged 19 or over to be eligible for this course. You would not be eligible for this course if you have already achieved a Level 2 in maths (that is an ‘O’ level grade C or above, CSE grade 1, GCSE grade C or above, Functional Skills Level 2, Basic Skills or Skills for Life Level 2 or similar).                                     

If you already have a maths or English qualification and are unsure whether you are eligible to enrol onto a course, please come along to one of our information sessions and chat to the tutor who will check this with you.

Venue and accessibility

Hadley Community Centre (formerly Castle Farm Community Centre)

Hadley Community Centre is owned and managed by Hadley and Leegomery Parish Council. The centre has a large hall with stage, a lounge bar, a kitchen and two smaller meeting rooms. The centre and toilets are wheelchair accessible and toilets include baby change facilities. There isn’t a cafe on site but there are local shops nearby.  Free car parking is available at the centre for users as well as free Wi-Fi.

We offer four levels of maths functional skills from Entry 2 through to Level 2. There is opportunity to progress between levels up to Level 2.
