Course overview

This is an adult only course and is intended for anyone who is interested in practicing or developing creative craft skills and developing them into some sort of Enterprise.  It is suitable for beginners. The course is taught in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  You will also gain a nationally recognised certificate in Creative Crafts and Enterprise, which could eventually help you to develop your own small business.

Please attend the first session of this course to find out more details. You must commit to attend all sessions to achieve a certificate.

 

Eligibility criteria

You do not need any previous experience. If you have any special needs you can discuss these with the tutor at enrolment to ensure that the course is suitable or can be adapted for you.

The course is available to all adults. If numbers applying for the course are high preference will be given to people who:

  • do not hold a Level 2 qualification, including English or maths
  • are unemployed or retired
  • are claiming Job Seekers' Allowance
  • are employed and looking to progress onto further Family Learning courses
  • are parents/carers of children/young people who are entitled to free school meals
  • are parents who have been referred to the course for the purposes of improving their mental health and wellbeing
