Course overview

Yoga isn't just a set of postures, it's a lifestyle change towards a whole new state of wellbeing. This course will give you the time to raise your individual awareness of the breath, body and mind in these uniquely designed classes. You will be able to explore and develop breathing techniques that relieve stress and improve sleep; suitable postures appropriate to your current flexibility, meditations to ease the mind, reduce anxiety and improve hormonal balance.  The sessions will allow you to practice new techniques and skills in a controlled and supportive environment.

The course will be free to adults aged 19 or over

Venue and accessibility

Oakengates Town Council’s new community venue is called The Wakes.

The Wakes has an IT room with 10 networked computers.  A formal meeting room for 20 people. Also a bigger room holding up to 120 people, although this can be made smaller. 

There is a café in the building and we have a lift and disabled toilets. Oakengates high street is close by with various shops and cafes.

Free parking is available outside.
