Course overview

On this course, you will learn about the following:

  • To understand characteristics of Autism Spectrum conditions in children and young people.
  • To understand how communications and behaviour link
  • To develop strategies for identifying and managing behaviour
  • To explore available support networks

You must attend the first session where you will be able to find out more detail about the course before you enrol.

As part of this wellbeing course, you will also take part in other activities aimed at helping you to develop a better understanding of your mental health.

The course will be free to adults aged 19 or over

After the course

Learners who want to progress to work in a school will need to gain a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths. We offer a range of courses to gain these qualifications. There is an opportunity to progress to an accredited OCNWM Level 1 in Supporting Children’s Learning course or OCNWM Level 1 & 2 in Child Development so please search the website for more details.
