Course overview

This short course is intended to provide an opportunity to have a go at home cooking and preparing popular favourite meals in an informal and friendly environment with an experienced tutor.

At the end of the course, learners will have gained confidence in applying basic cooking skills to prepare and cook easy hearty meals like cowboy pie, tuna fish cakes, corned beef hash, fruity flapjacks, puddings and custards, soups and other family favourites. There will also be an opportunity to learn about vegetarian alternatives.

Learners with any special needs can discuss these with the tutor at enrolment to ensure that the course is suitable or can be adapted for their needs.
