Course overview

Please arrive early to complete enrolment at 9.15am and then the course will start at 9.30am.

The course is intended for anyone who is interested gaining basic first aid skills. It provides a great introduction to first aid and is suitable for those taking on the role of an Emergency First Aider in a small or low risk organisation. It is lively, fun and run in an interactive workshop style. On successful completion learners will be awarded a Level 3 Certificate, which is valid for three years.


Session details

You must attend early at 9.15am to enrol before the course starts at 9.30am and will end at 4.30pm.


Eligibility criteria

Learners must be aged 19 or over to be eligible for this course.

The course is free if you are:

  • Unemployed for more than 12 months

  • aged between 19-24 and Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET)

  • aged over 50 and unemployed or at risk of redundancy
  • employed and without a Level 2 qualification, or with disabilities, or with special educational needs, or a single parent with at least one dependent child at home

If you are employed and don’t meet the above criteria the course is part funded by the government and you will be required to make a contribution of £56.00. 

Venue and accessibility

Meeting point House is adjacent to the Town Park and Telford Shopping centre. The centre has a café which offers a range of hot and cold drinks as well as sandwiches and snacks. Opening times vary.

Meeting Point House is wheelchair accessible and Wi-Fi is available.

Various car parking is available at the town centre at a charge.
