Course overview

This new online course will offer you the opportunity to understand how to support children in their early years with learning through play and by embedding simple techniques into normal everyday tasks that can be carried out in the home and create a useful toolkit of interactive activities to support children’s learning.

The course is intended as first steps for learners preparing to work with children but also valuable in helping parents support their own children to learn.

During the course, you will explore various techniques to help children practice phonics, reading and writing, numbers and enjoy physical activities to develop their learning skills. All the activities are simple, safe and easy to use with children, and can be adapted to support the learning needs of different children. All materials will be provided on this course.
