Course overview

This creative wellbeing course provides you with an opportunity to create some personalised craft items for around the home and decor using natural materials to create amazingly beautiful pieces for your home or for a gift.

You will also take part in other activities aimed at helping you with changes in your life, and to develop a better understanding of your mind and wellbeing.

During this course you will learn to: 

  • How to use natural materials like string, cones, twigs for your craft making
  • Create some trendy ideas for home decor and accessories
  • Explore creativity using ribbons, name tags and embellishments
  • Develop ideas and different designs to personalise your craft items

The sessions will allow you to practice new techniques and skills in a controlled and supportive environment. Learners with any special needs can discuss these with the tutor at enrolment to ensure that the course is suitable or can be adapted for their needs.

All materials will be provided on this course.

Session details

It can be difficult to make the first step into something new, therefore the tutor will contact you before the start of the course, and provide you with further information and details about anything else you will need to bring for the first session.

As part of this wellbeing course, you will also take part in other activities aimed at helping you to develop a better understanding of your mental health.

Eligibility criteria

Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August 2021

Unfortunately you will not be eligible to enrol on this course if you live in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Solihull or Birmingham.

 

Venue and accessibility

In response to following the government guidance for COVID-19, the centre has put in place measures to make the Centre as secure and safe as they can.

Therefore, all visitors must wear a face mask on entry and exit of the building. If arriving early, they must wait outside the building until the course start time and the tutor will give them further instructions when to enter.

You must inform the staff at the centre immediately if anyone is showing symptoms or testing positive for corona virus.
