By successfully completing this course you will gain a Level 1 Award in Employability and Development Skills (AIM Qualifications). If you have already achieved the qualification Supporting Children's Learning (Level 1 Award), you will not be eligible to join this course.

This is a beginner level course to explore different artistic crafts using paper, for example various printing techniques and creating simple 3D objects in papier maché. You will develop your skills and create a variety of printed art pieces, textured and patterned paper to use with papier maché pieces and also learn some enterprise skills and contribute to an project to make and sell craft pieces.

During the course you will produce a portfolio of art and written work towards the Level 1 Award in Skills for Living and Work - Craft Pathway (AIM Qualifications). If you have already achieved the qualification from Open College Network West Midlands Level 1 Award in Craft Design or Craft and Enterprise you will not be eligible to join this course.
