This is a beginner level course to explore different artistic crafts using paper, for example various printing techniques and creating simple 3D objects in papier maché. You will develop your skills and create a variety of printed art pieces, textured and patterned paper to use with papier maché pieces and also learn some enterprise skills and contribute to an project to make and sell craft pieces.

During the course you will produce a portfolio of art and written work towards the Level 1 Award in Skills for Living and Work - Craft Pathway (AIM Qualifications). If you have already achieved the qualification from Open College Network West Midlands Level 1 Award in Craft Design or Craft and Enterprise you will not be eligible to join this course.

This course is available for parents and their child who attends Lantern Academy Primary School.

Bringing Story to Life is a course for parents, grandparents or carers to come along  and work with their children. The course aims to work with families who wish to develop and support their child's reading development and love of books and stories through using exciting crafting techniques to create puppets and visual props to bring the characters to life.
