This FREE new online course is for adults who already speak some English as a second language and would like to practice and improve their confidence in speaking English to help with essential everyday situations when they are living in the UK.
During this course, you will understand how to talk about gas and electric bills, banks and statements, paying with British money in shops and understanding best prices, understand measurements to purchase food in grocery stores.
This course also offers you the first steps to help you progress onto an ESOL course that offers a qualification - details will be provided by the tutor on the course.

The Speaking English - Essential for everyday life in UK course will help you to brush up on your numeracy skills while developing your English language skills and meeting new people in a relaxed environment.
Learners will learn in a fun and relaxed environment with an experienced tutor.
After you have registered your interest, please check your emails or spam folder for an acknowledgement email from us.
You will be contacted before the start of the course with further details to meet the tutor and complete an enrolment form and bring a photo ID.
An experienced tutor will host the session via Microsoft Teams.
When registering interest, please ensure that you use a valid email address as this is where the invite to join the online session will be sent.
Closer to the date for the start of the session, check your emails for a link to "Join Microsoft Team Meeting" and click this join a few minutes before the start time.

Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August 2024
Unfortunately you will not be eligible to enrol on this course if you live in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Solihull or Birmingham.

This course is offered as an online session.
You will need internet access, a laptop, smartphone or tablet and the Microsoft Teams app to join the session.
The first session will be at a community centre, you will be contacted before the course starts.
