This course will help you gain confidence in using basic computing skills, writing or improving your CV, searching and applying for jobs online.
There is no exam but you will produce a portfolio of written work to demonstrate the skills on the course, and required for achieving the City & Guilds Entry Level 3 Award in Employability Skills.

The practical hands-on sessions take place in an informal and friendly environment with an experienced tutor at a central venue in Telford that is accessible by bus, train or car.
This course is suitable for learners who are already familiar with using some basic features of a pc or laptop. If you are new to computing, please look for our Computer Confidence course.

You will need to provide evidence of your income if you are employed and believe you are entitled to a free course. This could be a pay slip or contract of employment.
If you are employed and earn over £25,750 annual gross salary, the course is part funded by the government but you will be required to make a contribution of £111. We have a fee remission policy, so if you earn £25,750 or more per year but still cannot afford to pay for the course you can apply for support. This may mean your course fee is reduced, or you may be able to attend the course without paying a fee. Please contact us if you would like to make an application.
Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August 2025.
Unfortunately you will not be eligible to enrol on this course if you live in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Solihull or Birmingham.
