Course overview

This introductory to Customer Service course cover the basic elements of how to deliver an excellence customer experience.

You'll learn a range of skills from answering the telephone to applying legislation.

This qualification is for anyone interested in starting a career in the customer service industry. You don't need to have any prior qualifications. The award will provide you with a basic understanding of the impact of customer service and will equip you with the necessary skills to work and support customer service delivery.

 By successfully completing this course, and by completing a portfolio of work, you will achieve a City and Guilds Entry 3 Award in Introduction to Customer Service 

 

Session details

This course is for 10 weeks on Wednesdays.

09:30-12:30

Please bring a form of ID to the first session. 

Eligibility criteria

The course is free if you are:

  • Unemployed
  • or you are employed and earn less than £25,750 annual gross salary

You will need to provide evidence of your income if you are employed and believe you are entitled to a free course. This could be a pay slip or contract of employment.
If you are employed, the course is part funded by the government but you will be required to make a contribution of £153.

We also operate a fee remission policy, so if you earn more than £25,750 per year but still cannot afford to pay for the course you can apply for support. This may mean you get the course for free.  Please contact us if you would like to make an application.

Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August 2025

Unfortunately you will not be eligible to enrol on this course if you live in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Solihull or Birmingham.

The building is wheelchair accessible. A café is available with refreshments on site.
