Whether you are looking for work, thinking about returning to work after a break, or considering a career change, many jobs are now advertised on the internet, and this course will help you to improve your skills in using a computer and applying for jobs online. The course provides you with the essential digital skills you'll need to search and apply for jobs online, and you'll also be able to work towards a City & Guilds qualification, something extra to add to your CV.
The course would require you to have a basic knowledge of how to use a computer or laptop.

There is no exam and you will produce a portfolio of written work with support from your tutor, to demonstrate the skills on the course, required to achieve a City & Guilds Entry Level 3 Award in Employability Skills qualification.

You will need to provide evidence of your income if you are employed and believe you are entitled to a free course. This could be a pay slip or contract of employment.
If you are employed and earn over £25,750 annual gross salary, the course is part funded by the government but you will be required to make a contribution of £111. We have a fee remission policy, so if you earn £25,750 or more per year but still cannot afford to pay for the course you can apply for support. This may mean your course fee is reduced, or you may be able to attend the course without paying a fee. Please contact us if you would like to make an application.
Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August 2025.
Unfortunately you will not be eligible to enrol on this course if you live in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Solihull or Birmingham.

Public transport
Bishton Court is only a short walk away from Telford bus station by walking through the shopping centre towards Aldi car park. You then need to cross the road and walk through The Station Quarter and we are situated on the corner by The Quad building. We are also only a short walk from Telford Train Station over the bridge.
Free parking is available for the duration of your course at Southwater multi storey car park. Ask your tutor for further information on the day. Use the postcode TF3 4BZ to take you to the Southwater multi storey car park
There is no parking onsite at Bishton Court.
