Course overview

Join us and experience learning new skills on this FREE Printing course for absolute beginners.

This course welcomes anyone who’s new to learning with Learn Telford.

You don’t need any previous experience, just register your interest and give it a try!
Our friendly, informal sessions are led by an experienced tutor who’s here to support you every step of the way.

 

On this beginners course, you will understand different printing methods and techniques for printing on a variety of papers and materials. Enjoy how to express your own creativity with colour, images, pattern and textures! Enjoy taking part and gain confidence while learning a new skill, and create some beautiful artwork and cards, to give as gifts for special occasions or use for your home.

Creating art can be very therapeutic and help you to spend some time away from the stresses of everyday life and enjoy some ‘me’ time.

 

You'll be able to:

  • experience using a range of different materials for printing
  • create interesting textures, repeat patterns and colours,
  • understand about using sustainable materials with making art 
  • apply the prints to create craft gifts like cards, gift tags, and framed art

 

This course is intended for beginners so no prior experience is needed.
All materials and equipment will be provided on this course.

Learners with any special needs can discuss these with the tutor at enrolment to ensure that the course is suitable or can be adapted for their needs.

 

Session details

This course is for 4 weeks, please check you can attend every session for the whole course.
If these dates or times are not suitable, we will be offering more courses later in the year.

Once you've registered your interest, you will receive emails from us to keep you updated and to provide you with more information.

At the first session, bring your ID and the tutor will offer you details about the course, and a chance to ask any questions.

Eligibility criteria

Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August 2026.

Unfortunately you will not be eligible to enrol on this course if you live in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Solihull or Birmingham.

The course is FREE for those who are eligible to enrol on the course.
