Our functional skills courses are offered across Telford in community venues. We run morning and afternoon sessions during school term time only. Courses are offered at different levels and provide an opportunity to work towards a City and Guilds qualification in Functional Skills English, Maths and English Skills Awards. Our courses are intended for people aged 19+ who do not already have a Level 2 qualification in English or Maths and wish to gain a qualification in functional skills, or for those where a skills assessment confirms that they are not currecntly at that skill level.
During the first session, you will take a short assessment. Please bring any prior English or maths qualifications, along with a form of ID to this session. Depending on the outcome of the assessment, you may be offered a different level, day or time.
