People volunteer for a variety of reasons. It is a great way to learn new skills and gain experience. Volunteering can also help people build confidence and self-esteem, and meet new people.

Job Junctions
These are drop-in sessions that usually take place weekly at various locations across Telford. At Job Junctions the friendly staff can help you with your job search, building a C.V. and also provide a range of advice and guidance on local employment opportunities.
You don't need to book an appointment to attend a Job Junction, you can just turn up.
Please note: during the pandemic we have been unable to run these sessions, but we are planning on opening them up again as soon as we can do so whilst maintaining the safety of our users and staff.
Employment Advisory Support Team (EAST)

Job Box Mentors
A free service designed to support unemployed people.
Job Mentors can work with unemployed aged 18-24. They can help you to think about your options and help you plan a way forward. They can help with searching for and finding work or learning opportunities. They can also help in putting together CVs and applications as well as helping people prepare for an interview. They keep up to date with what’s going on in the Telford area and sometimes know about upcoming jobs before they’re advertised!
So whether you need more intensive support, or just wants a bit of help practicing some interview questions Job Box Mentors have the time, skills and knowledge to be able to help them succeed.

We can offer you a range of support to help you make an informed choices about learning, training or employment needs and the service holds the Matrix standard to ensure that we provide high quality advice and guidance.
